Malgorzata Warlikowska: Prints thermosealable

For many years I have been working in the Printmaking and Ceramics area.

I specialize in silkscreen transmitted to ceramics and fired at 850 C.

Exactly the same prints (decal) can be applied to ceramics and glass and metal (I use the pigments to 530 C and 850 C).Last time I experimented with the preparation of prints (decal) using other techniques such as linocut, intaglio and plexicut.

During the workshop I want to show the possibility of printing and transferring various print techniques(silkscreen, linocut, plexicut, intaglio) for ceramics and glass surface with the possibility of firing at 830 Cor 530C, depending on the ink used.

Duration

1st day:

Lecture (1 hour)

Discussion about the necessary matrix and
where necessary the preparation of matrixes

(but it will be better if paticipants will have ready matrix)

2nd day

Printing using specialized inks and paper

3rd day

Coating printed graphics by special lacquer using screen printing or spray.

After a two hour break for drying lacquer,  a demonstration of the application of the prints on ceramic, glass

4th day

Ceramic, glass work firing

It would be great if participants could bring:

Silkscreen, linocut, plexicut or intaglio matrixes and ceramic objects ready (max. dimensions 24x17cm).
