Kazimierz Pawlak
Born in 1957. From 1977 to 1982, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Wroclaw. He received an M.A. in art glass from prof. Zbigniew Horbowy’s glass studio there. Since 1982, he has been a member of the academic staff. He was a dean of Faculty of Ceramics and Glass from 1996-2002. Curently Professor, he supervises one of the diploma studios for senior students there. His work has been shown in 5 solo exhibition abroad, and included in several dozen group exhibitions at home and in other countries, including Japan,Germany, France and the USA. He has taken part in 23 international glass symposiums and conferences. In 1988, ha was awarded a scholarship, by Polish Ministry of Culture, to study in Czechoslovakia. In 1994, he received a creative scholarship grant from the Creative Glass Center of America in Millvill, New Jersey USA. He was hosted, as an artist in residence, in the Morin Glass Studio in Dieulefit, France in 1998. Prizes and awards:
