Proposal for demonstration

This demonstration proposes another way to engrave the metal, besides the conventional methods, in order to achieve zones that serve as mezzottint, with the possibility of protection with masks.

This form of engrave provides the possibility to perform gradient areas with different dimensions, as dexterity and practice of who uses it.

Conventional metals may be used for the matrix – for example copper, zinc or aluminum  – depending the work you intend to carry out.

As in this case we are using a projection of a grain, it is important the result as a function of the thickness of grain used, creating greater or lesser depth of the point .

The demonstration:

During the demonstration the participants may observe:

-presentation of different matrix.

-presentation of images printed.

-explanation of the process and equipment.

-preparation of matrix and masks.

-demonstration of the process.
